our movie is a romance/comedy. the target audience is teenagers at the age of 13-19. we attracted the audience by using teenagers to play the two main characters. this will make the teenagers want to see more because it is based around their modern day life style, love, friendships, heartbreaks, and drama all fit into a teenagers life so that is what we was most looking for to wheel in the young adults.
My research planning taught me that the mise-en-scene is important to make the narrative believable. Also i learnt about the importance of the continuity editing, sound and camera work. it also provided what my scene had to include and the planning also had to prepare me for hat i had to do. the research and planning helped me look more deeply into the scene for the key main elements that include the music, editing, shots etc, that make the scene more professional. so this made me include the elements in my own scene which i uploaded myself.
i think i have a few things t improve before i go and do the main task, the main thing i have to do is more research planning. this is only because we had less time to get into this task, but it is very easy to get distracted by other things the finding out more research for the filming. also i will make sure i include the 180 degree rule as the over the shoulder shot missed out the male character. i will also check that it looks professional enough, not looking like a child has done it.

Rescued from the outrageous neglect of his aunt and uncle, young boy with destiny, Harry Potter, proves his worth while attending Hogwarts school of witchcraft and wizardry. In this trailer, it shows the meeting of Ron Weasley and Harry Potter. The genre of this film is fantasy. the music of this scene makes me think this. Harry Potter has a magical beginning to this scene, it jumps into action of the train travelling to Hogwarts.
camera works/plot of scene
In the opening scene, the first shot is extreme long shot of the trains movement towards Hogwarts. The next shot shows a close up of Harry potter gazing out the window. This is also followed by a medium close up of Ron asking Harry many silly questions. The scene slowly drags out to where a women comes along with a sweet cart and asks the young boys if they want anything, Harry suddenly pips up saying he will take the whole lot for both of him and Ron to share because he feels bad for Ron. The scene breaks out back to the train still travelling. the next shot is a exterme close up of Harry's hands with the card he got out of the sweet that was given to him. After that shot, it turns into a medium/three person shot of all the main characters.
sound
In this scene, they have a mixture of diegetic and non diegetic sounds diegetic. the non diegetic sound in the sequence are the music. the music is the theme tune of harry potter. They use the song at the start to show that it is a harry potter film. the diegetic sounds in the sequence were the sound of the environment which was the train chugging and then the characters talking. Diegetic makes it seem realistic. Through out the scene they have a part of the scene where Harry and Ron are eating all the sweets that they just brought, Harry has a chocolate frog with the magical card, the music turns all magical with a flute, violin and more instruments.
editing
With the editing of the scene, it smoothly jumps from the footage of the trains movement to the two boys meeting. This shows that they are the first main characters. This scene mainly consists of continuity editing: shot reverse shot. they use cgi for the green screening in the background.
lighting
the lighting is natural due to it being an everyday situation.
Nightcrawler Interrogation scene
The Nightcrawler is a thriller set in the city of Los Angeles. Louis Bloom who is played by Jake Gyllenhaal is a driven young man desperate for work who discovers the high speed world of L.A., crime journalism, he blurs the line between observer and participant to become the star of his own story. In this trailer, it shows louis bloom talking to a detective about an incident that Louis himself was involved in but the detective catches him out on his own game and puts the real truth into Louis mouth.
Camerawork
In the opening scene of this clip, the first shot is a medium long shot of the detective walking through the door. The next shot is two shot of both Louis and detective meeting each other for the interrogation interview. This is also followed by an over the shoulder shot of both of them talking about the incident. The scene extends out with the over the shoulder shot until it comes to a worms eye view angle with the over the shoulder shot again. Also for the camerawork, they used a police camera for the main camera in some of the shots.
Sound
In this scene, there is only diegetic sound effects with no music as the sound effects create the atmosphere. There are sounds such as buzzing of the lights, chair scrapping and the door opening when the detective walks through the door. the sound effects are loud to bring more tension to the silence in the room. Editing
With the editing in this scene, it smoothly changes between the characters to and fro. But also there is two little clips that show both of the characters with a police camera.
